Whole House Audio Troubleshooting
Having trouble with your whole house audio system? Use this guide to diagnose common speaker, amplifier, streaming, zone control and connectivity issues and keep your music system working properly.
Whole House Audio Troubleshooting FAQ
Why is there no sound from my speakers?
Check that the amplifier is powered on, verify the correct audio source and zone are selected, inspect speaker connections and confirm the system is not muted.
Why is the volume too low or different between rooms?
Check individual zone volume levels, amplifier settings and speaker connections. Verify that volume limits or room-specific settings are not reducing the output.
Why is music not playing in one or more zones?
Confirm the correct zones are enabled, verify the audio source is playing and check the amplifier or audio matrix for the affected rooms.
Why does my streaming music keep stopping or buffering?
Check internet and network connectivity, restart the streaming device or audio controller and verify that the music service and system software are online and up to date.
Why is one speaker or one side not working?
Inspect the speaker wire and connections at both the speaker and amplifier, check for damaged cable and test the speaker on a known-working channel when possible.
Why is my amplifier not turning on or responding?
Check AC power, the outlet, power switch and any surge protector or UPS. Restart the amplifier and verify that the control system or network connection is working.
