Why is my access control reader not working?
Check that the reader is receiving power, inspect the wiring and network connection, verify communication with the access control controller and restart the controller if necessary.
Why is my card or key fob not unlocking the door?
Confirm that the credential is active and assigned to the correct user and door. Check access schedules, permissions and verify that the reader recognizes the card or key fob.
Why is the electric strike or maglock not unlocking?
Check the lock power supply, wiring, relay output and controller settings. Confirm that the correct voltage is reaching the lock and verify the proper normally open or normally closed configuration.
Why does the door stay unlocked?
Check the access schedule, relay configuration, request-to-exit device and door contact. Make sure the controller is not configured for permanent unlock or an active unlock schedule.
Why is the access control controller offline?
Verify power, network connection and IP settings. Check the Ethernet cable and network switch, restart the controller and confirm that it can communicate with the access control software or cloud service.
Why is the system showing the door open when it is closed?
Check the door contact sensor, magnet alignment and wiring. Verify that the contact type is configured correctly as normally open or normally closed in the access control system.
