NVR / DVR Troubleshooting FAQ
Why is my NVR or DVR not showing camera video?
Check that the cameras are powered and connected, verify the recorder recognizes each camera, confirm the correct channel settings and restart the recorder if necessary.
Why are some cameras showing offline on my NVR?
Check the camera network cable or coax connection, verify PoE power, confirm the camera IP address and credentials, and test the camera on another available port.
Why is my NVR or DVR not recording?
Check the hard drive status, verify recording is enabled, review the recording schedule and confirm there is enough available storage space.
Why can’t I play back recorded video?
Verify the correct date and time, confirm recordings exist for the selected channel and time period, and check the hard drive for errors.
Why does my recorder say hard drive error or no HDD?
Check that the hard drive is properly connected and recognized by the recorder. Review the HDD status and initialize or replace the drive if required.
