Alarm & Intrusion Troubleshooting FAQ
Why won’t my alarm system arm?
Check for open doors or windows, sensor faults, low batteries or keypad error messages. Make sure all protected zones are secure before attempting to arm the system.
Why am I getting false alarms?
Check motion detectors, door and window contacts and other sensors for loose connections, incorrect placement or environmental conditions that may be triggering the alarm.
Why is my keypad showing an error or trouble message?
Review the displayed trouble code, check system power, backup battery and communication status, and restart the keypad or control panel if necessary.
Why is a door or motion sensor not working?
Check the sensor battery, alignment and mounting, verify that the sensor is properly enrolled in the system and test the affected zone from the keypad or app.
Why does my alarm system show a low battery warning?
Replace the affected sensor or control panel battery with the correct type and allow the system time to clear the warning after replacement.
Why is my alarm system not communicating?
Check internet, cellular or phone-line connectivity, verify the control panel has power and confirm that the communication module is online and properly configured.
